One hundred and nine first class attendants of the Course Esperia of the Naval Academy continued their summer training, which began with the Nave campaign Vespucci, with the training module called "Art of Command", at the structures of the "Caorle" Schools battalion of the marine brigade Saint Mark.

Physical preparation, audacity, determination and courage were the qualities required of the cadet officers by the personnel of the amphibious component of the Navy, in order to stimulate in the young people themselves the assumption of responsibility, the knowledge of their limits, the ability to make decisions and the ability to lead men and means, to verify their leadership qualities, strengthen their character and make them aware of their potential. "This is a very important moment for the professional career of you future Navy officers, which for over fifteen years has been carried out thanks to the fundamental contribution of the Navy Landing Force", these are the words of the commander of the Navy Schools, team admiral Enrico Credendino, addressing the young people during the visit to see the activities carried out "in the field".

This year there was also the participation of six foreign students from Saudi Arabia, Peru, Tunisia and Ukraine as well as twenty-six women, who all lived intensely the experience that allowed them to take other steps towards learning those managerial, organizational and decision-making skills that will one day be required of them as naval officers.

In fact, during the two weeks spent inside the training areas of Massafra and Pedagne, the highly qualified instructors with proven long-term experience in operations conducted by the armed force also in the international field, carried out lessons in close contact with the Academy's attendants. but above all practical activity with increasing difficulty even during the night hours of topography and field navigation, land combat, use of portable weapons at the shooting range, descent with barbettone (fast rope) to simulate the release from a helicopter placed at a height of 12 meters , defense and crowd control techniques, in addition to the use of the AAV7 amphibious vehicles, GIS, rubber boats and VTLM supplied to the marine brigade Saint Mark.

At the end of the period, the students were engaged in carrying out a demanding professional path in time and in the planning and conduct of a patrol activity with simulation of attack and defense of military objectives, thus "demonstrating in the field" the knowledge acquired.

"The Art of Command module allowed me to develop leadership, organizational skills and ability to lead men and vehicles, as well as to familiarize myself for the first time with the techniques used by the Navy Fusiliers by touching the vehicles they use in operations. I will also take advantage of this opportunity offered to me along the path of professional preparation to aspire to become a professional of the armed force at the service of the country ", these are the words of the first class student Davide Todaro before returning to the Naval Academy.
