Co.Ce.R: Appeal to Renzi and the government for unlocking salaries

06/08/14

Yesterday afternoon, for the first time and representing approximately 450 thousand women and men in uniform, the Unions and the Co.Ce.R. to face the unsustainable situation regarding the continuing stoppage of the wage that penalizes employees and restrains the operations of the Police, the Armed Forces and Public Aid.

"President Renzi, the trade unions and the Co.Ce.R trust in her for a clear and definitive word on the serious problem of the pay freeze that has been penalizing our sector dramatically for four years.

This sector, due to its characteristics and its dynamics, was affected by the compression of salaries more than other areas of Public Employment. We are sure that you have been punctually represented the terms of the matter.

It will therefore be pointed out that the desired advance of the release for the last few months of 2014, in view of the recovery of remuneration in the 2015 already established by the DEF, is financed entirely with internal resources of the Administrations already allocated to the personnel of the Funds and without no further expenditure on public finance.

President Renzi, it has never happened that the Co.Ce.R. and the unions of the civil police forces and of the public aid have addressed you with one voice, compact, firm and firm. We are aware of the unfair consequences of a decision - that of the blockade - which had to be extraordinary and necessarily temporary, but which is perpetuating itself over the years, as if we did not want or could identify a more just solution that respected the constitutional principles and the delicate function that we do for the "security" of the country and the guarantee of freedom and democracy. We are sure that you will be able to respond to this appeal and that it will put an end to this unacceptable condition that deprives us of fundamental rights and that generates discomfort in families and even disequilibrium among colleagues.

President Renzi, let us look to you with the certainty that we can trust you. "
