There were more than twenty soldiers of the Incursori Operational Group, who obtained, on Friday 24 July, the patent Basic Life Support and Defibrillation (BLS-D).

The training activity, which took place at the Grouping of divers and raiders "Teseo Tesei" of the Italian Navy, was managed by dr. Pier Francesco Mariani, traumatologist doctor and Massimo Migner, BLSD instructor of the Divers Alert Network (DAN), a foundation that assists divers in difficulty through an international network of alarm and rescue centers.

The objective of this training, organized by Lieutenant Gianluca Degani, doctor of the Incursion Operational Group, has been teaching the correct use of the defibrillator for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and airway obstruction maneuvers from foreign bodies.

Defibrillation is effective if it is administered within a few minutes and if the first rescuer is able to carry out cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers: the timeliness and adequacy of the intervention in cases of cardiac arrest, therefore, can contribute to saving a greater number. of human lives.

At the end of the course, passed a final evaluation and a practical test carried out on board an RHIB of Incursion Operational Group, the participants obtained the qualification of "BLSD operator" and the DAN certification (Divers Alert Network), affiliated organization IRC (Italian Resuscitation Council, Italian Group for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and 118 Liguria Region.
