Preliminary maneuver training (A.PRE.MA.) on board Nave Linosa

On 18 and 19 March 2025 the coastal tanker (MCC) Linosa, belonging to the third auxiliary units group (COMGRUPAUS TRE), held a session of Preliminary training for the maneuver (A.PRE.MA) in favor of five naval officers from ships and submarines based in Augusta.

Inside the harbour of the Megarian city, under the careful supervision of the commander of the unit, the five frequenters attempted to carry out mooring and unmooring manoeuvres, placing great importance above all on their planning, through briefing e debriefing with the bridge team and the maneuver sections in order to define the correct procedures for internal and external communications and allow attendees to consolidate their ability to give maneuver orders clearly and correctly.

L'Preliminary training for the maneuver (A.PRE.MA.) is part of the wide training offer of the naval command school of CINCNAV (command in chief of the naval fleet), and is intended for young officers with limited experience of maneuvering with the aim of providing the basic elements to develop kinematic sense, seamanship sensitivity and improve and consolidate mastery in the management of the bridge and maneuvers to achieve the appropriate preparation in view of the naval command school (SCN), to be refined also through subsequent participation in maneuver training for officers (TIR.M.UFF.).
