56 Marine gathered to talk about the Blue Century

Not only from the Mediterranean, but also from the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. 56 Marines, of which 34 represented by the Chiefs of Staff, coming from all over the world, met from 15 to 18 October in Venice for the XNUMXth Regional Seapower Symposium organized by the Italian Navy. 

A biennial appointment that has now become an international event. For this reason, at the end of the twelfth edition, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone announced that the next symposium will pass from a regional to a trans-regional dimension.

This edition was dedicated to the challenges of the Blue Century and allowed the representatives of the various countries to discuss the challenges that come from the sea: from international laws to the new concept of maritime domination, up to the technological evolution of naval means.

The Chief of Staff, Admiral Cavo Dragone, also recalled the words of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella: 'The work of the Navy is precious, it is an element and a fundamental support for the life of our Republic'.

In closing the admiral Cavo Dragone congratulated the representatives for the work done and renewed the invitation for the 2021 edition.
