The Ministry of Defense in support of the public administration with the military in auxiliary.
This was announced by the Minister of Defense, Elisabetta Trenta: "We open a new page for Defense and for the country. All public administrations (national and local) will finally be able to draw on defense personnel in the auxiliary, at no cost".
Going into detail, the head of the Dicastery explained that if a municipal administration needs - for example - a specialized engineer, a doctor, a biologist or a computer scientist, it can directly contact the direction of military personnel, ask if among the Armed Forces there are auxiliary professionals residing in the Municipality itself and call them in support of the administration for the 5 years provided.
The institution of the auxiliary is, in fact, a transitional period during which the soldier, on the occasion of the termination of the permanent employment relationship and, alternatively, to leave in reserve, can be recalled by the Public Administration of his province of residence for a period of five years. This is without any additional cost for the Public Administration, as the military in auxiliary in those 5 years continues to be paid by the Ministry of Defense.

The list of auxiliary soldiers was published in the Official Gazette: “professionals with their qualifications ready to give their contribution to Municipalities, Regions and all public administrations that will need them”.
