Swift Response 2017: Exercise of the Italian Armed Forces alongside world partners in response to modern threats

These days the "Swift Response 17" Multinational Exercise is being held at the Training Area of Joint Military Redness Center (JMRC) of the US Army in Hohenfels (Germany).

The exercise, which aims to strengthen the professional, technical and tactical skills of Armed Forces personnel belonging to different specialties and nations in order to strengthen and integrate the interoperability of short notice to move to respond to situations of international crises, will be engaged about 6.000 military coming from 12 NATO partner nations.

The Swift Response incorporates a series of Crisis Response exercises, led by the United States Global Response Force (GRR) training US Army Europe Command (USAREUR) with the aim of leading Joint Forcible Entry Operations (JFEO ) in synergy with allied paratroopers in Europe.

During the exercise days there will be aviolancio activities of personnel and equipment, in the context of Air Assault Operation and Force build-up ie the take-off and safety of airports and other strategic objectives. An important training aspect is the C130J aircraft on slopes built on an enemy territory and the evacuation of non-combatant Evacuation Operations (Short Range Offshore and Landing Strip) .

All projects Swift Response Italy participates in units and means of the Army and Military Air Force. The Army sees operational and logistic units of the "Folgore" parachutist brigade, including a platoon of parachutist explorers who operates under the direct command of the US Army's 173 ^ Airborne Brigade Combat Team (173 ^ ABCT) as a unit of Long Recoinnessance and Surveilance (LRS) with capacity for insertion by means of free fall technique (TCL), for amphibious and aircraft.

The 46 ^ air brigade of Pisa is involved with the Air Force, with a C130J and a C27J, tactical transport aircraft suitable for landing on particularly slim and non-asphalted surfaces (semi-manufactured), contributing to the deployment of men and means of the various units in the different stages of the exercise.
