Three days of meetings between the representatives of the Armed Forces and the Italian aerospace, defense and security industry ends today in Segredifesa.
The workshop was an important moment that allowed to deepen the projects connected with theEuropean Defense Fund and define a common strategy for the following years in the specific field, in the light of Italy's ambitions in the present and future national and international scenarios.
As clearly outlined by the directive for the industrial defense policy, issued in 2021 by Minister Lorenzo Guerini, on the first day particular attention was paid to harmonizing the capacitive needs of the Armed Forces with the objectives of innovation and competitiveness of the national industry. sector. The following days saw the holding of some bilateral meetings between representatives of the Defense and industries, which made it possible to outline common objectives that aim to capitalize on the strengths of the Defense system.
Army Corps General Luciano Portolano, Secretary General of Defense and National Director of Armaments, underlined the fundamental importance of increasing the level of interaction between the various actors in order to improve the ability to create a system, especially in the current scenario. international, increasingly changeable, uncertain and characterized by a significant reduction in economic resources.
