A delegation from Segredifesa, chaired by team admiral Pier Federico Bisconti, deputy secretary general of defense and deputy national director of armaments, participated in the tenth edition of theAirshow 2022 of Zeltweg in Austria.

Returning after two years of "abstinence" due to Covid-19, theairshow brought together over 200 fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters from 20 nations, resulting in a busy schedule of over 35 flight displays, including some interception maneuvers and combat simulations. In addition, the most important European aerobatic teams, historic aircraft, old and new generation aircraft and helicopters demonstrated their skills during the two intense days of the event.

Admiral Bisconti held important and fruitful institutional meetings with Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner and Major General Harald Vodosek, national armaments director, plus other Austrian civil and military authorities to strengthen the excellent friendship between the two nations, guarantee continuity in existing relations and confirm the willingness to provide all the necessary support for the renewal needs of the Austrian armed forces.

As part of the event, Italy was represented by the national aerobatic team of the Frecce Tricolori, which met the enthusiasm of the large audience present, and by the UH-169B helicopter, used by the Italian Army Aviation, of which Austria recently purchased 18 units on the basis of the program Government-to-Government (G2G) coordinated by Segredifesa. Also present is a twin-engine advanced training jet T-346A, in use by the Italian Air Force, on static display.
