NATO: 20th meeting of the MS COE NATO Steering Committee in Rome

The NATO Steering Committee of the Modeling and Simulation Center of Excellence (MSCOE) met at the structures of the VI department of the Defense General Staff ("Adriano De Cicco" barracks in Cecchignola).

The meeting was attended by representatives of the NATO M&S COE "sponsor" nations (Italy, the Czech Republic, Germany and the United States of America), who renewed their commitment to fostering the growth of the Center in the Alliance.

Numerous topics were discussed during the meeting, including the work program of the Center aimed at supporting the countries of the NATO Alliance and its partners. Here are the new M&S projects, including: Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations, Artificial Intelligence, CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear)”, Wargaming.

Colonel Francesco Pacillo, director of NATO M&S COE, during his introductory message said: "In the last year our Center of Excellence is focusing on the 'NATO Next Generation M&S Capability Program' capable of supporting the Alliance in the areas of Training & Education, Wargaming and Analysis. One of our priorities is to adapt our work program based on the requirements indicated by the HQ SACT, with a view to innovating and fostering connections between the military, academic and industrial worlds".

For the occasion, the next 18 was announcedth NATO CA2X2 (Computer Assisted Analysis, Exercise, Experimentation), Forum scheduled from 3 to 5 October in Rome.
