The project was successfully completed Military Police Crime Investigation Forum 2025 organized by NATO Military Police center of excellence, held in Bydgoszcz, Poland, from 10 to 14 March. The event, which saw the participation of representatives of the Military Police of 12 allied countries, represented an important opportunity for comparison and exchange of experiences in the field of judicial police and investigations in multinational contexts.
Italy was represented by the Carabinieri, with the participation of Major Chiara Masselli, commander of the PM company for the Ferrara Air Force, and Captain Valentina Scipioni, commander of the PM company for the Rome Ciampino Air Force.
The forum allowed to deepen the investigative capabilities of the different national Military Police, with a particular focus on interoperability and cooperation within NATO. The Carabinieri presented their skills, highlighting the dual civil and military soul of the body and the exclusivity of the Military Police functions assigned by law.
Among the most notable contributions, the representatives of the Carabinieri for the Air Force presented a practical case related to an investigation into the online game “Ingress Prime”, which involved points of interest within military bases. This case highlighted the skills of the Carabinieri in complex investigations and the collaboration with the military and ordinary judiciary.
Participation in the forum allowed the Carabinieri officers for the AM to acquire new knowledge and skills, strengthen international cooperation and create a professional network of contacts between NATO Military Police.
