NATO: COFS participates in the Brilliant Jump 2022 exercise

The NATO exercise ended on March 17 in Norway Brilliant Jump 2022joint command for special forces operations participated which one special operations component command (SOCC) of NATO Response Force 2022 (NRF22), or as a command and control component of all special operations that would be conducted in the event of a crisis.

In particular, the SOCC of the Italian special forces formed a response cell (SOCC Response Cell) proving to be able to project itself into the Operating Theater in a short time and to intervene promptly, according to the orders issued by the joint force command of Brunssum (JFCB) and in perfect synergy with the other elements of the NRF22.

From a NATO point of view, training improves the speed of intervention, cohesion and interoperability of allied forces, in fact the exercises are designed to test and strengthen, where necessary, the ability of participating countries to work together effectively in ' whole range of military domains.

In this context, the Brilliant Jump 2022, headed by NATO JFCB, pursued the objective of evaluating the performance of the very high readiness joint task force (VJTF), that is of the very high readiness force of NATO as well as the leading element of the NRF22, analyzing the level of operations and integration put in place by the deployed units.
