The Undersecretary of State for Defense, Hon. Domenico Rossi, representing the government, received today in Piazza Venezia, the president of Cameroon, Paul Biya, on the occasion of his state visit to Italy.
After the execution of the National Anthems, a laurel wreath was placed in homage to the Unknown Soldier. To make the honors an inter-force deployment of the Army, Navy, Aeronautics, Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza.
"President Biya's visit to Italy confirms the excellent relations of collaboration between the two countries", Said Undersecretary Rossi, stressing that" in the Defense sector, Italy and Cameroon are facing similar complex challenges such as the fight against the phenomenon of terrorism and the management of migration flows. The event follows the meeting between President Sergio Mattarella and Paul Biya that took place on the same day.
