On January 28, the flight activity in the mountain environment for two MH-101As of the first helicopter group of the Navy stationed in Luni ended.
The activity carried out at the Bolzano airport had the logistical support of the 4th regiment Altair of the Army Aviation (AVES).
The flight crews have been trained to carry out day and night flight operations, in a context where the weather conditions can considerably affect the conduct of the vehicles.
The sharing of experience with AVES personnel was essential to successfully complete the activity, thus allowing the pilots and helicopter crews of the Navy to acquire the know-how necessary to operate in unusual contexts due to environmental conditions.
