The alternation ceremony for the command of the Officers Club of the Armed Forces of Italy, during which Colonel Attilio Cortone handed over command to the parigrade Stefano Santoro.

During the six years of his mandate, Colonel Cortone promoted the positive outcome of an agreement between various Professional Hotel and Agricultural Institutes in Rome and the Officers' Club of the Armed Forces of Italy, allowing the carrying out of work "internships" of numerous pupils of the institutes in question at the CUFA, without charges for the Defense Administration and in perfect compliance with the law which provides for the so-called "school / work alternation", guaranteeing shifts for over 14.000 hours to the pupils of the three classes involved.

In the continuation of the relationship established with the association of Defense, the agreement was the opportunity that made it possible to start professional working relationships with some of the boys at the end of their studies, as well as an example in similar associations in other Armed Forces.

As part of the specific catering sector, in October 2018 the Officers Club of the Armed Forces of Italy received the honor of the "Italian Excellence Award VI edition", held every year in conjunction with Columbus Day, with numerous events in New York and Washington. The award, sponsored by MAECI, received the imprimatur of the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, and supported by Associazione Mezzogiorno e Futuro (AMREF), an association recognized and institutionalized by the Farnesina and Carnovale Foundation.

In the context of entertainment and social-recreational events, such as theatrical and musical events, it introduced image units and composed an adequate calendar for the theatrical seasons of the "Rassegna Sapiri e ... musica" in the "Millevoi ”Which saw a full house and the alternation of artists of national caliber.

By raising the quality and professionalism of the artists, it has obtained a participation and presence of over 55.000 people.

"While I am leaving this command I have only one thing to ask my collaborators: do not lose the enthusiasm that I have seen in your daily commitment, there is always the temptation to limit costs, in terms of effort, but being a CUFA means being committed always being supported more than by reasoning from the heart ".

So Colonel Cortone wanted to thank the men and women of the "Club" in his farewell speech.
