The General Secretariat of Defense and National Directorate of Armaments (Segredifesa) finalized the Framework Agreement for Collaboration with the Interuniversity Center for Microwave Engineering for Space Applications (MECSA) on cooperation in the field of research and innovation this afternoon.
The event took place in Palazzo Guidoni, seat of the Secretariat. For Defense, the Army Corps General Luciano Portolano, Secretary General of Defense and National Director of Armaments signed, while Professor Ernesto Limiti, Director of the Interuniversity Center of Microwave Engineering for Space Applications, signed for MECSA.
The Agreement provides for the possibility of operating in a synergistic and shared manner by promoting opportunities for study and in-depth analysis as well as to implement research projects in the field of microwaves for space-type applications, with particular reference to the microwave and wave engineering sector. millimeter in the fields of antennas and propagation, electromagnetic compatibility, electronic devices and systems, remote sensing and environmental modeling, complex systems for space applications, radio frequency electronic components.
Thanks to the potential expressed by MECSA through the related universities (University of Rome Tor Vergata, Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna, University of Florence, Polytechnic of Turin, Polytechnic University of Marche, University of Salerno, University of Studies of L'Aquila, University of Messina, University of Palermo, Sapienza - University of Rome, University of Ferrara, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, University of Padua and University of Perugia) Segredifesa will increase the availability of professional skills that can be shared for the benefit of all bodies of the Defense Administration, also considering any partnerships in the implementation of projects co-financed by the EU.
