Emergency medical transport to the 31 ° Stormo

Last Saturday a crew of the 31 ° Stormo of Ciampino (RM) aboard a Falcon 900 Easy II transported from Catania to Florence a baby of 11 months suffering from severe respiratory crisis.

Having ascertained the clinical conditions and the danger of life for the little patient, the Prefecture of Catania requested the Situation Room, of the Top of the Air Force, the immediate transport of the little patient to the Tuscan capital, where the local hospital would be in able to provide the necessary specialist care.

At 10.20 am a Falcon 900 Easy II took off from Ciampino, an aircraft with an internal configuration suitable to guarantee the boarding and transport of the particular thermal cradle that would have housed the newborn, as well as the medical staff and health equipment necessary for this type of needs . Arriving at the Sicilian airport, the crew embarked the newborn, the mother and the medical team, to continue their mission to the Florence airport where, about an hour later, the child was entrusted to the city ​​hospital. 

The 31 ° Stormo dell'Aeronautica Militare is based at the "C. Raiti" airport of Ciampino (Rome), in addition to the transport of the High State Offices, the Department guarantees support to the civilian population in case of medical transport, medical evacuation , organ transport and humanitarian.
