KC130 "tanker" aircraft of the 46th area brigade and HH101A helicopters Caesar Salad of the 15th flock of Cervia have reached a new milestone in the ability to extend a flight mission of rotary wing assets, thanks to the ability to perform repeated refueling in flight during the same mission.

In particular, during a night training, carried out under the command and control of the Air Operation Command (COA) of Poggio Renatico, the aircraft, all belonging to the Command for Support and Special Forces (CFSS) carried out three refueling in flight extending the activity of the HH101As for over six hours.

The helicopters were thus able to expand both the flight time and the range of its action.

The KC130 proves once again to be a true force multiplier, and the training between crews of the 46th and 15th squadrons ensures the Armed Force an additional operational capacity for projection of forces.
