Born: “Initial Functional JFAC Traning” course at DACCC

The "Initial Functional JFAC Training" Course was held from 14 to 25 March 2022 at the facilities of Deployable Air Command and Control Center (DACCC) of Poggio Renatico (FE). The course runs almost monthly and forms the basis of advanced training for multinational personnel assigned to command and control structures of the NATO air component.

Structured to give the Alliance staff the knowledge of the processes and procedures that take place within the structures of the air component (JFAC) in the development of the planning of the use of air power, the course has seen for this edition the participation of 30 attendees, many of them from Command and Control Center of Torrejon (Spain), from Air Force Command by Ramstein (Germany), from Aerospace Operations Command of Poggio Renatico and from Command and Control Center of Uedem (Germany).

The Air Divisional General Denny Traas, commander of the DACCC, in a message addressed to the personnel of the NATO command of Poggio Renatico highlighted how the situation we are experiencing at the moment has brought to light the importance and value of joint training, underlining the goodness of the courses organized by the DACCC, focused on providing highly qualified military personnel to fill positions in the JFAC organization and thus improve the support of the operational effort of the AIRCOM NATO Command.

Il Deployable Command and Control Center (DACCC) is an integral part of the air component of NATO, which since peacetime and through its subordinate commands located on European territory has been monitoring, protecting and preserving the integrity of the airspace.
