Air Shows: the Experimental Flight Department is back on stage in Hungary

On 28 and 29 August, after a period of absence from aeronautical shows and airshows due to the pandemic from Covid-19, the Air Force participated, with the aircraft of the Experimental Flight Department, at the HIMAS21 Airshow at the Kecskemét base , in Hungary, on the occasion of the “International Day of Aviation and demonstration of military technology”.

The event, organized by the Hungarian armed forces, saw the participation of about 15 nations and 35 types of aircraft in front of an enthusiastic audience. Several international authorities present, including the logistic commander of the AM, general of the air squad Giovanni Fantuzzi and the commander of the RSV Colonel Igor Bruni.

During the Hungarian air show, the two C27J and T-346A aircraft of the 311 ° Gruppo Volo with their evolutions captured the keen attention of the present public, making known the technical capabilities of the Air Force aircraft and the skills of their pilots and crew .

The presenters of the 2021 season, who will represent the colors of Italy and the Air Force with their spectacular technical presentations in the various events to be held around Europe, are the demo crew, Major Stefano Guardigli, Major Jonathan Canestrini and Lieutenant Giuseppe Civica (C27J); the demo pilot Major Luca Guasti (T-346A) and Major Marco Civini (F-2000 Typhoon).

Their activity is supported on the ground by the commander of the 311st Flying Group, Lieutenant Colonel Federico Petracca, who guarantees their safety. Speaker of the event was Captain Raffaele Balice who explained to the public the various maneuvers performed by the two aircraft from time to time, illustrating their particularities and technical difficulties.
