The Aeronautica Militare in the Eurispes report

31/01/14

On Thursday 30 January, at the Conference Room of the National Central Library of Rome, the 26 Report Italy was presented by Eurispes, a well-known and established private Institute of Political Studies operating in the field of political, economic and social research.

At the event, which was attended by numerous civil and military Authorities as well as authoritative representatives of civil society, there was also a large delegation of High Officers of the General Staff of the Air Force, with the Air Division General Umberto Baldi representing the Chief of Staff of the Air Force.

Prof. Fara, President of the Institute, in the course of his report underlined how high the consensus of citizens is today towards the Armed Forces. Leafing through the Report in detail, with specific reference to the Air Force, it is clear that the consensus is equal to 65,2% of favorable opinions among the interviewees. This consensus stems from the fact that the Armed Force, in addition to guaranteeing the indispensable security of increasingly crowded skies, provides the community, 24 hours on 24, 365 days a year, a whole series of services such as emergency medical transport , the national meteorological service, the air rescue.

The card dedicated to the Air Force also underlines how the return to investments in the aeronautical sector is shown to be concrete opportunities for growth for the Country system, on which to focus in the future with the Armed Forces operating in symbiosis with civil aviation, the European aviation institutions and the national industry in the sector. The continuous updating and adaptation of the aerial instrument is a complex matter, capable, however, of generating important economic, technological and social returns.
