Sunday 12 January, after the Christmas break resumed the championship with the Cup Francesco De Pinedo, organized by the Navy Sailing Sport and the Sailing Section of the Aeronautical Academy.
Due to the weak north wind, the organizers were forced to cancel the first test of the day and decide for a shorter route. Nevertheless, the Academy won with the J24 "Sparviero" and "Grifo" boats classified respectively in first and second place in the Minialtura class, leaving third place on the podium to "George" of Paolo Cian, professional sailor, currently leader of the provisional general classification. For 13 consecutive editions the Academy has won the prestigious cup. Instead, there are 10 consecutive editions in which he wins the championship in his own category.
