The aircraft, a C-130J and a C-27J of the 46 ^ Air Brigade, returned to Italy Sunday 22 December, after more than a month. After transporting a Civil Protection field hospital, the 46 ^ BA aircraft were made available to the various organizations that coordinated the rescue operations, transporting basic necessities for the humanitarian emergency, in particular foodstuffs (for the more sacks of rice), water, electricity generators and tents to replace houses destroyed by the typhoon.
A total of one hundred missions were carried out between Cebu - home of the Italian aircraft clearing - and the localities of Roxas, Tacloban, Ormoc and Guiuan, transported about 250 tons of materials and more than 650 passengers among injured, displaced Filipinos and personnel of the organizations humanitarian.
