Green Flag: the Air Force present at the exercise organized by the US Air Force

The Air Force participated in the United States in the green flag, an international exercise, organized by the US Air Force, which saw the presence, based in Alexandria (Louisiana), of three countries (USA, Italy, New Zealand) for a total of about 150 people involved.

A C-15J from the 25th Air Brigade participated in the exercise, which took place from 130 to 46 July, with a component of 26 flight crews, maintenance and support personnel. In addition to the Italian aircraft, there were three other aircraft, two from the US and one from New Zealand.

La green flag has achieved various training objectives, including the standardization of intra-theater air transport operations, the sharing of techniques and tactics, the conduct of tactical navigations in low-altitude training and evasive tactics and reactions to ground-to-air and air threats -air. Technique assault landings were carried out during the exercise Max Effort on semi-prepared runways, real personal aviation (FV) and procedures Engine running operation (ERO) through the use of common TTPs (Tactics, Techniques and Procedures).

Participation in this type of events has an important return for the Armed Force since it allows crews and specialists to confront themselves with colleagues from other nations and to share the different mudus operandi, with the ultimate aim of improving training and operational skills. to be even more effective, in particular, in the missions carried out in the international context.
