Frecce Tricolori: everything is ready for the 62nd acrobatic season

On Sunday 1 May, the last training flight of the Frecce Tricolori took place at the Rivolto air base, home of the 2nd wing and 313rd acrobatic training group, before the start of the Acrobatic Season 2022. Furthermore, on this occasion, the 2022 brochure was unveiled.

To preside over the event, the Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force, air squad general Luca Goretti, accompanied by the commander of the air squad, air squad general Alberto Biavati, and the commander of the Combat Forces, General of Air Division Francesco Dressed.

"The acrobatic flight is not an end in itself, but it is the demonstration of the ability and professionalism of the training of the men and women of the Air Force." These are the words of the Chief of Staff of the Air Force on the sidelines of the event at the Rivolto military airport.

After two years, due to a pandemic, about 6.000 enthusiasts who came from all over Italy were able to participate in the traditional appointment dedicated to the 135 people Frecce Tricolori Club.

The day was also an opportunity to officially deliver a check for the amount of € 8.100 collected during the charity initiative promoted by the National Aerobatic Team together with Frecce Tricolori Club in favor of the “Orchestra per la vita” Association which is responsible for raising funds for the funding of Research and Treatment of Epithelioid Sarcoma.

The success of the event was made possible thanks to the indispensable support of the staff of the 2nd wing and of the 313th AA group who took care of all the preparation of the areas and management of access and permanence of the public, including security aspects.

As remarked by the commander of the 313 ° acrobatic training group, ten. with the. Stefano Vit, during the greeting to the public, this is an example of how Rivolto's staff know how to work as a team.

The 62nd acrobatic season of the Frecce Tricolori, which will open next Saturday 7 May in Molfetta, will finally see the National Aerobatic Team roll out the "longest Tricolor in the world" in front of thousands of spectators in attendance. 30 appointments between exhibitions and flyovers both in Italy and abroad, with three stops: one in Portugal, one in England and one in Austria.
