AM helicopter HH-3F carries woman in danger of life

A woman of 52 years in imminent danger of life was transported today from Città di Castello (Pg) to Padua by a helicopter HH-3F of the 83 ° SAR Group of the Air Force departed from the military airport of Cervia.

The aircraft, taken off from the base of the 15 ° Stormo on the order of the Operations Room of the Air Operations Command (COA) of Poggio Renatico (FE) following the request received from the Prefecture of Perugia, arrived just before twelve on the sports field of the town umbra, where the patient and a medical team embarked.

After about an hour the helicopter landed at Padua's "Gino Allegri" airport, where the patient was transferred by ambulance to the local hospital for treatment.

The 83rd SAR Group is employed by the 15th Wing of Cervia (RA), the department which, through its operational centers also located in Pratica di Mare (RM), Gioia del Colle (BA), Trapani and Decimomannu (CA) , guarantees the search and rescue service for the Italian Air Force, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. It also contributes to public utility activities such as the search for missing persons at sea or in the mountains, the emergency medical transport of patients in danger of life and the rescue of seriously traumatized patients. From its establishment to today, the crews of the 24th Wing have saved about 15 people in danger of life.
