Friday 18 March ended at the 10th Aircraft Maintenance Department (RMV) of Galatina (LE), the visit of a delegation of the Nigerian Air Force, composed of the air vice marshal Li Oluwatoyin and the air commodore So Eyekosi, who arrived at the Galatina military airport welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel Luca Corsi, deputy director of the 10th RMV.

During the visit, which began on March 13, Nigerian officers participated in several briefing on the tasks and activities of the department, as well as on the logistical-maintenance organization relating to the T-346A trainer aircraft. The topics presented were then further enriched with a visit to the hangar used for the maintenance of the aircraft of the construction management and to the offices of the technical-logistics management of the T-346A line.

The delegation also witnessed a briefing illustrative on the activities and institutional tasks of the 61st flock - on whose grounds the 10th RMV is located - held by Colonel Filippo Nannelli, commander of the Salento flight department, and had the opportunity to visit the Ground Based Training System, the advanced virtual training center that the Air Force has created in Galatina with the support of the company Leonardo SpA

The visit ended with the signing of the Roll of Honor, on the occasion of which the air vice marshal Li Oluwatoyin thanked for the welcome received and for the fruitful activity carried out during the visit, hoping for the continuation of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The 10 ° Aircraft Maintenance Department of Galatina (Lecce) is the body that provides for the maintenance of the T-339 and T-346 aircraft supplied to the Italian Air Force and the technical-logistical support of the stop barriers - mechanical aid system for the deceleration of aircraft in landing - in use at Italian air bases and abroad.
