Today, at the "Cortile dei Trasvolatori" of Palazzo Aeronautica, the double handover ceremony took place at the helm of the Directorate for the Employment of Military Personnel (DIPMA), between the air squad general Alberto Biavati and the general of Fabio Sardone air division, as well as the changeover at the head of the 1st department of the Air Force staff between General Sardone himself and Colonel Alberto Surace.
The event was attended by numerous authorities, guests, family members and a representation of the civilian and military personnel of the two entities involved.
Considering the peculiarity of the double rotation, the ceremony was attended by both the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Force General Aurelio Colagrande, and the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Team General Luca Goretti.
In particular, the head of SMA in presiding over the event, addressed a greeting address and thanks to all those present, declaring: "I decided to merge the two ceremonies because they both concern personnel, one sector concerns them from the ordering point of view, the other from the point of view of employment. The personnel represent the fundamental key of our Armed Force, which is giving a admirable example of his efficiency and strength ".
Then addressing directly to the protagonists of the changes, General Goretti highlighted how fundamental it is, on these occasions, to guarantee continuity and coherence to bring home the pre-established results. Finally, the head of SMA expressed his applause for the work and results of both the 1st department and the DIPMA: both "strong, compact, cohesive, coherent and honest teams".
