Normally this training activity is intended for M&T (Movement and Transportation) qualified personnel who, having to renew the IATA (International Air Transport Association) qualification, are provided with a technical-professional update on the air transport of dangerous goods - carried out both with carriers military and civilian - through modules that deal with the regulations and directives of the sector, as well as the management and related embarkation procedures.
The course, which is held by instructors and teachers from Armed Force departments and from companies accredited to issue national and international qualifications, is part of the numerous educational and qualifying activities for the M&T sector, of a joint and Air Force character, managed by the IOC and the Logistic Command - Service of the Supports. Moreover, in this context the 3 ° Stormo is designated as the national APOE / APOD (Air Port of Embarkation / Debarkation) for the material and personnel destined for the various operations in which the Military tool, guaranteeing all airport services essential for the management and support of military and civil aircraft.
