193 new sergeants of the air force

Today, at the Specialist School of the Air Force of Caserta, the sergeant grades were awarded to the students of the 17 ° course "Minerva".

At the ceremony, attended by the commander the schools of the air force and the 3 ^ air region, general of the air team Franco Girardi, participated the local authorities, civil, military and religious, representatives of associations and institutions of Caserta, the staff of the framework permanent, the students of the school, the gonfalons of the province and the municipality of Caserta, the labari of the fighting and weapons associations as well as the family and friends of the students coming from every part of Italy.

The 193 sergeants, including 18 girls, divided into the categories "Operational Support", "Logistic Support", "Commissariat", "Aeronautical Constructions" and "Infrastructures and Plants" ended, last 25 April, the first phase necessary to admission to the role and will attend, always at the SSAM, a category course, lasting about three months and which will be dedicated to acquiring them the technical, professional and specialist skills necessary for use in the armed forces departments.

Colonel Veniero Santoro, commander of the school, in his speech, addressing the students, underlined [... you chose Minerva to name your course, the mythological goddess embodied the concept of versatility and competence and you did it aware of the fact that these characteristics , which you future Specialists of the Air Force, have certainly acquired during the course, will accompany you even after; when you can put them into practice in the Departments of the Armed Forces, thus reinvigorating the “backbone” of the Air Force]. The colonel then concluded [… in a few minutes you will wear the rank of Sergeant and you will be placed in that role. The career path you have set for yourself will be full of professional satisfactions and joys, but also of sacrifices, but I am sure that you will be able to give the best of yourself in your future assignments wherever you are called to work. General Girardi, in his speech, first greeted the agreed authorities, the relatives of the students and the school staff, and then turning to the 17th course "Minerva" underlined [... today, a long cycle of studies and preparation ends and challenging crowned by passing tests and exams. It was a period of sacrifices but at the same time exciting and the results show that you have all the credentials to succeed in future commitments. At the end of the ceremony, to seal the traditions and the spirit of aeronautical values, the "Minerva" course pennant was handed over to the course chief by the dean of the non-commissioned officers of the school and the blessing was carried out by of the military chaplain.

During the ceremony the Mauritian medals were handed over to the military personnel in service and on leave of the school by General Girardi.

The AM specialists school, is the armed force body that provides for the military, cultural, technical-professional and moral training of specialists, sergeants and volunteer troops in permanent service, as well as non-managerial personnel of aeronautics interested in a process of reconversion / qualification / professional specialization and of aircraft maintenance personnel belonging to other armed forces and police forces.
