During these events, cheered by animation and by "Befane" who gave gifts to the little ones, the opportunity was taken to donate to some of the invited organizations the proceeds of the fundraising deriving from voluntary donations of the staff of the Wing.
The Commander of the 15th Wing and the Commanders of the Centers, during the welcome greeting, thanked all the participants for the great sensitivity and generosity shown once again.
The 15 ° Stormo of the Air Force guarantees 24 hours on 24, for 365 days a year, the search and rescue of the flight crews in difficulty, also contributing to public utility activities such as the search for missing at sea or in the mountains , the emergency medical transport of sick people and the rescue of serious traumatized persons. Since its establishment until today, the crews of the 15 ° Stormo have saved around 7.000 people in danger of life.
