The Navy is ready to launch the program for the new TESEO MK2 / E EVOLVED missile (project financed by the 2019 Budget Law), which will replace the TESEO Mk2 / A.

The new missile will be developed by MBDA Italia in collaboration with Leonardo, giving, in all likelihood, to the Italian fleet attack capabilities never seen in the past.

The specifications required by the Navy also include capacity land attack, or the ability to commit terrestrial targets, also thanks to a doubled range (about 350 km) compared to the previous version.

Capacity currently held only by the Air Force with the STORM SHADOW cruise missile.

The synergy between the two companies (MBDA and Leonardo) has allowed us to develop a seeker new generation with active electronic scanning (EASA). This new technology will allow Italy to negotiate from a favorable position the entry into the Franco-British FC-ASW (Future Cruise / Anti Ship Weapon) program, which will be operational in the late 30s.
