In what has been described as the worst-case scenario, the country will make progress in its secret nuclear program, producing not only more weapons, but also increasing their destructive capacity and succeeding in miniaturizing nuclear warheads.
North Korea's nuclear weapons will become increasingly sophisticated, thanks to experiments that continue to take place in underground laboratories in the country.
This forecast is based on the assumption that North Korea has two nuclear non-proliferation plants.
The best known is the one located in Yongbyon, at the Nuclear Scientific Research Center, an important 60 nuclear facility miles north of Pyongyang.
The second would have been located, while there would be three other underground sites.
Concluded in the report by the US Institute for Science and International Security: "The Obama administration is so focused on signing a global agreement with Iran and its nuclear activities that it has no strategy to deal with Korea's nuclear program of the North ”.
