VF-VENIERI, a company founded in 1948, manufacturer of industrial earthmoving machinery, based in the Motor Valley, now in its 3rd Generation and representing Made in Italy in the world, has been awarded the supply of 21 Air-Transportable Wheeled Backhoe Loaders in the European tender with an open procedure with economic scores. The air-transportable backhoe loaders were delivered to three different Italian departments, in order to guarantee the modernization and renewal of the ability to build strategic airport infrastructures for the Operational Departments of the Air Force.
The VF 10.33D Avio are characterised by their high operational capacity and the possibility of being air-transported on C130J aircraft (provided to the entire NATO/OTAN alliance) thanks to the lowered chassis. The over 100 HP internal combustion engine, compliant with the latest anti-pollution regulations and approved for the use of BIO fuels (BioDiesel HVO), is positioned transversally under the cabin. This feature allows the backhoe loader to have a “Z” front kinematics with lifting and tearing capacities comparable to wheel loaders of the same category. The chassis is rigid with 4 steering drive wheels of the same diameter that can work in different modes: 2 front steering wheels for transfers, 4 steering wheels for moving easily in tight spaces and crab steering for lateral movements on construction sites.
The VF 10.33D Avio have been equipped with various pieces of equipment for excavation work required for civil protection, road restoration, snow clearing, natural disasters (landslides), climate/hydraulic emergencies, rescue in flooded areas, loading and placing of materials and small and medium-sized excavations with backhoe, logistics support activities following reclamation activities.
VF Venieri has a long tradition in the field of highly specialized vehicles, in fact it includes several supplies to the Ministry of Defense and the Air Force. In 2015, machines were delivered to the Air Force that are still fully operational and also used in operational theaters. It also supplied both transportable Avio backhoe loaders and wheel loaders in 2021 and 2023 to the Ministry of Defense.
