MBDA has successfully completed the launch of the CAMM-ER air defense missile against a maneuvering target. The test took place in an Italian shooting range.
CAMM-ER is part of a next-generation family of CAMM air defense systems. All assets of the CAMM family share the same active radar search and launch system.
The declared range is over 40 km.
The CAMM-ER was designed to replace theAsp in the Medium Advanced Air Defense System (MAADS) of the Italian Air Force, the Tap of the Italian Army and will be used in the system Albatross NG for naval air defense (NBAD).
