Telespazio, a joint venture between Leonardo (67%) and Thales (33%), will exclusively provide the services for the defense and security markets of EUTELSAT's new Konnect VHTS satellite, built by Thales Alenia Space and launched on 7 September. .
Following the agreements signed between the companies of the Space Alliance formed by Telespazio and Thales Alenia Space with Eutelsat, Telespazio will be the exclusive provider for Konnect VHTS services also for the remaining segments of the government market and public administration, for almost all of the coverage. of the satellite. In this area, the company will also be able to market fixed and mobile communication services for the B2B market.
To make the most of the extraordinary characteristics of the new satellite, Telespazio has entered into contacts with important manufacturing companies to develop a set of services not currently available on the market. These services will be able to provide very high throughput performance and security levels compatible with the needs of the MILSATCOM and GOVSATCOM markets.
With this agreement, Telespazio strengthens its offer portfolio, adding new services on VHTS in the Ka band to services on military frequencies and assets (UHF and X bands, Mil Ka) and services based on commercial satellites.
