Segredifesa at the “Defense Security Asia 2024” in Malaysia

In the days from 5 to 7 May last, a delegation from the general secretariat of defense and national armaments directorate, led by the director of the aeronautical armaments and air navigation directorate (Armaeronautica), chief inspector general Giuseppe Lupoli, was in Kuala Lumpur ( Malaysia) to participate in the “Defence Security Asia 2024” exhibition.

The event, which saw the presence of 1200 companies in 33 pavilions and 400 delegations from 45 countries, offered the opportunity to conduct bilateral meetings with the Malaysian authorities and other states of interest in the Indo-Pacific area, such as Indonesia and Vietnam, to discuss bilateral cooperation issues in the land, naval and aeronautical sectors, also in support of industrial initiatives and opportunities.

The activity was facilitated and followed by the Italian embassy in Malaysia and, in particular, by the ambassador Massimo Rustico, who participated in all the meeting moments together with Giuseppe De Giorgi, advisor to the defense minister for the Indus -Pacific.

The participation of Italian companies (large, medium and small) and that of the Institute of Foreign Trade was significant, made visible and effective by the coordination of the embassy.
