An international customer has signed a contract with Rheinmetall for the supply of a five-digit quantity of 155 mm M107 artillery ammunition. The order, worth 21 million euros, will be delivered in the first half of 2025 and was booked in December 2024.
The ammunition will be produced by Rheinmetall Expal Munitions in Spain.
In service for decades with several NATO member countries, the M107 is still one of the most widely used artillery shells in the world. It can be fired by a large number of 155 mm weapon systems.
Rheinmetall is one of the world's leading manufacturers of large-caliber ammunition. The Group has increased its production capacities since 2022 and aims to produce up to 1,1 million 155 mm artillery shells per year by 2027.
Rheinmetall's broad product portfolio for weapons systems and ammunition ranges from medium-caliber ammunition for infantry fighting vehicles and anti-aircraft guns to tank and artillery ammunition, aircraft armament and high-energy laser applications.
