The Leonardo-Finmeccanica path continues to converge towards a single cultural identity of the One Company

The second edition of the "Compliance Council 2016" of Leonardo-Finmeccanica was held in Rome, a workshop dedicated to Leonardo's employees. The meeting, which saw the participation of top management, aims to continue along that path aimed at standardizing and making the different procedures, policies, cultures and sensibilities of LeonardoFinmeccanica's divisions uniform to converge towards a single cultural identity of the One Company based on ethics and full compliance with the rules. The workshop is part of a series of events organized as part of the compliance and training plans planned by Leonardo-Finmeccanica on the initiative of the Group General Counsel Andrea Parrella and the Senior Compliance Officer Elena Napolitano.

The first day of the work was dedicated to the topics of "Business Compliance" with the Chairman Giovanni De Gennaro who underlined the importance, also on behalf of the entire Board of Directors, of the principle of "zero tolerance" not only against the corruption but also to any unlawful or illegitimate behavior or that is in any case contrary to Leonardo's values. Particular emphasis was placed on the adoption of an ethical behavior to preserve the reputation of the Company which must be part of the values ​​of each Leonardo employee, thus permeating his daily life. In this perspective, compliance does not constitute an added value of the actions to be undertaken but represents the essential, essential requirement.

During the second day of the workshop, dedicated to the theme of "Trade Compliance", the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager Mauro Moretti stressed that reputation constitutes a real asset asset of the company, an intangible asset to be preserved and protected against incur economic losses that are difficult to recover. It has been remarked how corruption must be fought in all sectors of activity and in all its forms, both inside and outside the Company, since even patronage behaviors and unjustified favoritism are the expression of the corruption phenomenon. In conclusion, any unethical behavior can cause irreparable damage and it is only by following the most difficult and strenuous roads that one can consolidate the reputation of the company and gain the trust of customers, to whom Leonardo is linked by contractual and commercial and industrial cooperation lasting over time, and of all stakeholders. On the occasion of the second workshop "Compliance Council 2016", a clear message from the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager Mauro Moretti on "zero tolerance towards corruption" and unethical behavior was published in the "Ethics and Compliance" section of the portal and of the Leonardo-Finmeccanica website to ensure maximum dissemination both within the company and externally.
