Today the top management of Naviris will be speakers at the conference "The Cooperation in defense Programs a long term vision for innovation and development of new common capabilities", organized by OCCAR (the Organization for Joint Cooperation on Armaments), and at the "Overview of the alpine space and Franco-Italian transnational cooperation ”, promoted by System Factory.
Naviris is prime contractor with OCCAR for the feasibility study for the mid-life modernization of the four Italian and French Horizon class destroyers, with the support of the parent companies, Fincantieri and Naval Group, and other main combat systems suppliers (EUROSAM, THALES, LEONARDO, MBDA and SIGEN).
Naviris is working to set up and coordinate the industrial cooperation of the Modular and Multirole Patrol Corvette (formerly known as the EPC - European Patrol Corvette project), a program promoted by the European Defense Fund (EDF). This is the most important naval initiative within the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) project, to which four countries have joined so far (Italy as coordinator, France, Spain and Greece), to combine innovation flows that correspond to national operational requirements and guidelines of the European Commission.
