Boeing signed a $ 805 million contract yesterday to produce the US Navy's first unmanned operating aircraft supplier: the MQ-25.
Boeing had already won an engineering and production contract for the subsequent supply of four aircraft. The company plans to build the MQ-25 at the St. Louis plant.
The MQ-25 "Stingray" is designed to provide refueling capabilities and extend combat capabilities of aircraft such as the F / A-18 Super Hornet, the EA-18G Growler and the F-35C.
