Leonardo has signed a framework agreement, lasting twenty years, with the Danish defense procurement agency (DALO) for logistical support and the potential future update of the seventeen naval defense systems 76/62 Super Rapido in service at the Danish Navy, in particular on board the Iver Huitfeldt frigates and on Thetis and Knud Rasmussen class patrol ships. The agreement is worth up to € 70 million in total and can be further extended based on the future needs and budgets of the Danish agency.

The 76/62 Super Rapido is a lightweight naval cannon with high performance and flexibility in any air defense and anti-surface role, particularly in anti-missile missions. The 76/62 SR can be installed on ships of any type and class, including small naval units.

The contract provides for basic support, including spare parts, tools, logistics services, updating of systems and supply of the new 76/62 SR in the latest configuration available on the market. The first purchase orders will include the materials necessary for the operational maintenance of the systems and the plan to replace all the consoles with the new digital versions.

The result obtained highlights Leonardo's ability to know how to support customers in carrying out their missions, offering logistic solutions capable of maximizing the value and functionality of the products over time. The agreement also consolidates the partnership with one of the most important customers in the naval business, which began in the 80s and is now projected towards the future.
