Leonardo participates in Indo Defense Expo & Forum 2022, one of the main events dedicated to the defense and security of South East Asia. During the event, scheduled in Jakarta from 2 to 5 November, the company will present its multi-domain technologies developed to meet the needs of Institutions and the Armed Forces, with the aim of consolidating its position as a reliable partner of the Indonesian government and defense industry.

Strategic support of the Italian Navy for over 70 years and reference for numerous Naval Forces in the world, the company promotes in Jakarta its technologies developed for full control of the scenario, the result of continuous investments in key sectors, such as Artificial Intelligence, automation, data processing and information management. Among these, the Combat Management System (CMS) with open architecture, capable of integrating and coordinating in real time all the information coming from the various sensors, guaranteeing full situational awareness and an immediate reaction capacity, in any context. Leonardo's CMS is integrated, as is Leonardo's Naval Cockpit - which applies concepts borrowed from avionics systems to the ship - also on the Multipurpose Offshore Patrol Vessels (PPA) of the Italian Navy. Leonardo's naval solutions range from command and control systems, to sensors, weapon systems, underwater, optronic, communication, fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters up to unmanned platforms.

As for weapons and ammunition systems, Leonardo is at Indo Defense with 76/62 Super Quick (SR), capable of guaranteeing unmatched performance and maximum flexibility in any air and surface defense role. On display next to the system, chosen by various Marines around the world, is the small-caliber naval turret completely developed and designed by Leonardo Lionfish, and the Marlin 40, in service with 30 international Marines. Within underwater, Leonardo promotes the new generation heavy torpedo in Indonesia Black Shark, designed to be launched from submarines or surface units.

In Jakarta, the RAT31DL / M long-range air defense radar, selected in the country in 2019. The sensor can be deployed to support battlefield operations and border surveillance as a primary system, against all types of threats. The new AESA will also be on the stand Tactical Multi-Mission Radar (TMMR), developed to intercept, classify and track small and agile targets, such as drones. Alongside these solutions, the ATOS (Airborne Tactival Observation System) surveillance system, an advanced avionics system based on an open and modular architecture that integrates and manages the surveillance sensors of the aircraft, guaranteeing maximum effectiveness in the control of large land areas and maritime.

With a growing presence in the area, Leonardo is promoting various helicopter models designed for multi-mission operations in the Southeast Asian region, including Search and Rescue (SAR), Law Enforcement and military roles. These include the latest generation medium military helicopter AW149, capable of responding to the new operational needs of the Armed Forces in different geographical areas and the AW169, equipped, among other things, with APU mode capabilities, capable of using one of the two motors to power the main on-board systems while keeping the rotors stationary on the ground. Also on show in Jakarta is the AW139, the best-selling twin-engine in its category with over 1.100 units in service worldwide. The helicopter combines high performance, reliability, state-of-the-art technologies and exceptional safety features.
