Leonardo will provide logistical support and maintenance services for the OTO 76/62 SR weapon systems currently supplied to the French Marine Nationale's Orizzonte, FREMM (European Multi Mission Frigates) and FDI (Fregates de Defense et d'Intervention) class ships. The activities will be carried out over a period of ten years and are part of a framework agreement, an extension of the previous maintenance contract relating to the Orizzonte class only.

 In detail, this includes the configuration management, the supply of spare parts, field engineering and the documentation update of 22 OTO 76/62 SR, Leonardo's medium-caliber naval weapon system now in service in over 50 countries worldwide. Leonardo will also provide a training and training course for the personnel of the French Marine Nationale.

The logistical support may be extended in relation to the customer's needs and may also include the updating of systems, the supply of additional equipment and various other assistance services.

The contract also includes the technical activities of general overhaul, testing and alignment of 11 plants that will be entrusted to the Italian Navy Arsenal and the Naval Support and Experimentation Center (CSSN) of La Spezia, further consolidating the relationship between Leonardo, the Navy and the French Marine Nationale in a perspective of ever greater European cooperation.

After the recent agreement with the Danish Navy to support the same type of weapon system, this new result strengthens Leonardo's position as an international strategic partner in the reference sector, capable of accompanying the customer in all phases of the life cycle. of the product.
