Leonardo-Finmeccanica: two more AW119Kx helicopters for helicopter rescue in the USA

Leonardo-Finmeccanica announced today the signing of a contract for two more AgustaWestland AW119Kx single-engine helicopters with the Life Flight Network operator in the USA for helicopter rescue tasks. With this contract the number of AW119Kx in this client's fleet will rise to 21 by the end of the year. On the occasion of the signing, Leonardo and Life Flight Network also celebrated the achievement of the 20,000 flight hours with the aircraft currently in service, a result achieved after just three years from the start of the first deliveries.

Life Flight Network was the launch customer of the AW119Kx version of Leonardo's single-engine aircraft equipped with a new digital cockpit, a feature that contributed to the growing success of the product in all market segments. This customer's AW119Kx are equipped with night visors and interiors with state-of-the-art medical equipment. In addition to this model, Life Flight Network also operates a twin-engine AgustaWestland AW109 Power. With this last order, Leonardo's fleet of helicopters dedicated to helicopter rescue in North America, including the AW119, AW109 and AW139 models, rises to 115.
