Leonardo was included, for the first time, in Bloomberg's Gender-Equality Index (GEI) 2021, the equity index that measures the performance of listed companies committed to both transparency in disclosure of gender data and the measures adopted with a view to inclusion and enhancement of diversity, providing investors with an additional tool for assessing companies. The GEI evaluates the practices related to the topic by referring, in particular, to five specific areas: female leadership and enhancement of talents; gender pay equity and equality; inclusive culture; harassment prevention and sanctioning policies; brand recognition as a brand that supports the female gender. The analysis of the report shows that out of 380 companies admitted to the index, 17 are Italian - since it places Italy among the top four countries globally in the ranking - and 17 companies in the industrial sector.

"Entering Bloomberg's Gender-Equality Index 2021 represents an important recognition of the Company's commitment to gender inclusion, a key element to foster collaboration and productivity and stimulate innovative paths" underlines Alessandro Profumo, CEO of Leonardo. “In a phase like the current one, in which gender equality policies play a central role for economic and social development at a global level, Leonardo has stood out for its transparency on data. We are going in the right direction with a sustainability plan which, in line with the Be Tomorrow - Leonardo 2030 strategic plan, places among its political objectives in favor of gender equality, as defined in the Sustainable Development Goal no. 5 of the UN Agenda 2030 ".

Leonardo obtained the maximum score on the communication of the requested information. A commitment to transparency towards investors and all stakeholders that the company has been pursuing for years, responding to the growing attention of the market to performance, not only economic-financial, but also social, environmental and governance.
