Leonardo and Aeroporti di Roma have signed a partnership aimed at developing joint initiatives in order to facilitate the transition in smart hub of the airport assets managed by ADR.
The guidelines of the agreement concern the joint planning to create solutions and services in the field of cyber security, in that of surveillance, monitoring, communication and decision support systems dedicated to critical infrastructures and urban air mobility, with particular reference to the requirements development of ground infrastructures and air traffic control.
The definition of the agreement falls within the The roadmap of Leonardo's technological and market development identified in the strategic plan Be Tomorrow - Leonardo 2030, based on long-term sustainable growth, and in ADR's Sustainability and Innovation strategy aimed at creating a system with the major national players to face the epochal challenges for the airport and for the country.

In cyber security, where ADR - manager of the best airport in Europe in the last three years - adopts the best best-in-class market solutions to ensure the constant protection of airport system and passenger information over time, the collaboration with Leonardo will make it possible to develop a managed service for the collection and processing of information and events, analyzed through Artificial Intelligence, which will exploit the Security Operation Center (SOC) of Leonardo di Chieti, in Italy, and Bristol, in the UK, to identify the specific risk profiles of the airport hub. Services will also be implemented cyber intelligence with the aim of preventing any attacks, understanding their matrix and characteristics, and verifying the degree of security of the infrastructures. Then taking advantage of the platform Cyber range of Leonardo, a digital twin of the Rome airport will be created to simulate attacks and study the appropriate methods of reaction and to train the personnel of the operational structures.
With regard to surveillance, monitoring, communication and decision support systems, Leonardo places the X-2030 platform at the service of ADR, for the collection, integration and enhancement of safety information from diversified sources and the coordination of interventions. Global Ranger System, SCADA application for remote control and supervision of transport infrastructures, and the web platform Ganymede, based on the deep learning for analyzing live or recorded video sources.
