Welcomed by the managing director of MBDA Italy and executive group director of sales and business development of MBDA, Lorenzo Mariani, the minister was offered a broad overview of the activities that the company carries out to ensure the operations of the Italian Armed Forces and allied countries . Strategic company, unique in the national panorama for the development of sovereign skills and technologies, MBDA Italia produces products with the highest technology, by their nature extremely sophisticated, essential for the protection and defense of the country. With its activities, the company also contributes to the country system thanks to the so-called national missile chain considered a strategic asset to be safeguarded as a guarantee of national sovereignty in operational and technological terms.
The managing director of MBDA Italy, Lorenzo Mariani underlined: “We are proud and honored to have hosted our Minister of Defense, Lorenzo Guerini. With about 900 employees out of over 1600 total in Italy alone, in Rome MBDA Italy hosts the laboratories for software production, integration, so-called "HWIL" (Hardware-in-the-Loop) simulation, RF validation and electromagnetic analysis laboratories, as well as to be the headquarters of the management of MBDA Italy.
