Finmeccanica today announced that the fleet of 26 AgustaWestland AW189 twin-engine helicopters, used by customers on four continents, has exceeded the 10.000 flight hours in operational service.
The AW189s are currently in service in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America and are used by customers in countries such as the UK, Denmark, Malaysia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and the United States. The AW189 has sold 150 copies to date between firm orders, options and framework agreements.
The aircraft can perform tasks such as offshore transport, search and rescue, executive and private transport, fire and civil protection.
