Finmeccanica: contract worth over 300 million with the Ministry of Defense for 9 Aermacchi M-346

Finmeccanica has signed with the Aeronautical Armaments and Airworthiness Directorate of the Ministry of Defense a contract of over 300 million euros for a further nine Aermacchi M-346 advanced training aircraft for the Italian Air Force.

The contract was signed by Grazia Nunnari, head of 9 ^ Division of national and foreign contracts of the Aircraft and Airworthiness Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, and by Filippo Bagnato, head of the Aircraft Division of Finmeccanica, in the presence of Chief Inspector Francesco Langella, Director of Armaereo and of the Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force, Pasquale Preziosa aerial team general.

With this new order the Aermacchi M-346 (whose Armed Forces identification code is T-346A) ordered by Italy go up to 18. Deliveries of new aircraft will begin this year to be completed by the 2018.

The contract also includes the logistic support and a further development phase of the advanced integrated training system, of which the aircraft is one of the components, which includes digital teaching aids, simulators and infrastructures at the base of the Lecce-Galatina Air Force. .

The total number of Aermacchi M-68 ordered in Italy (346), Israel (18), Singapore (30) and Poland (12) is now available at 8.
